About this tool
This tool works in two modes. Extract a page range pulls out a continuous set of pages (for example, pages 3 to 7) and saves them as a new, single PDF — useful when you only need one chapter or section from a longer document. Split every page breaks the entire PDF apart into individual one-page PDF files, delivered together as a ZIP — useful when you need to handle or share each page separately.
As soon as you drop in a file, the tool reads the total page count so you can see exactly what range you're working with before extracting anything. Because splitting happens locally in your browser, it works just as well with large or sensitive documents as with small ones.
This is commonly used to pull a signature page or a single form out of a longer contract, separate a scanned batch of documents back into individual files, or share just the relevant section of a report instead of the whole thing.
Frequently asked questions
- What's the difference between the two split modes?
- "Extract a page range" gives you one new PDF containing just the pages you specify. "Split every page" breaks the whole document into individual single-page PDFs, packaged as a ZIP.
- Is there a limit to how many pages I can split?
- No hard limit — very large PDFs may just take a little longer to process since everything runs in your browser.
- Does splitting reduce PDF quality?
- No, pages are copied exactly as they exist in the source file with no re-compression or quality loss.
- Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
- No — page extraction happens entirely on your device using your browser's JavaScript engine.
