About this tool
This tool renders each page of your PDF onto a canvas in your browser and exports it as a JPG or PNG image, using the same open-source rendering engine that powers PDF viewing in Firefox. Because the rendering happens locally, your document is never sent to a server.
PNG is a good default when a page contains text or line art you want to stay crisp — for example scanned forms or diagrams. JPG produces smaller files and works well for photo-heavy pages. If your PDF has more than one page, all the exported images are bundled into a single ZIP file so you don't have to download them one by one.
This is useful for pulling a chart or photo out of a report to paste into a slide deck, sharing a single page of a document on social media or in a chat app where PDFs aren't well supported, or archiving a scanned document as images.
