About this tool
This happens most often with scanned documents — a scanner or phone camera saves the page in the wrong orientation, and every page in the resulting PDF ends up sideways or upside-down. This tool rotates all pages by the angle you choose, directly in your browser, without re-processing or recompressing the actual page content.
Rotation is applied as a page property rather than by redrawing the content, so there's no quality loss — text stays sharp and selectable, and images stay at full resolution.
Common uses include fixing a scanned document that came out sideways, correcting a PDF exported from a mobile scanning app in the wrong orientation, or preparing a document for printing in the correct reading direction.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I rotate just one page instead of the whole document?
- Currently this tool rotates every page at once, which covers the most common case (a whole scan coming out sideways). For page-by-page control, that's on the roadmap for a future update.
- Will rotating reduce quality or make text non-selectable?
- No — rotation only changes the page's orientation property. Text stays selectable and searchable, and images keep their original resolution.
- Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
- No — rotation happens entirely in your browser. Your file is never sent to a server.
